Assignment 1 – An Advertising/Marketing Portfolio for a local business
- Choose a local business that you are interested in or even currently associated with.
- Develop the following materials to support the promotion of this business.
You will use the Adobe Suite of programs on the school computers and not Canva.com or similar.- Obtain (or create) a vectored version of the logo for this business.
*Your print ads, videos and radio ads will have a consistent theme, feel and slogan. - Develop a one-page (letter-sized) print advertisement for this business.
Use your creativity to produce a sale or similar event that would attract attention to the business. - Create a 30 second television/online video commercial to promote this business.
- Create TWO separate 15 second radio advertisements to promote an event associated with the business.
- Obtain (or create) a vectored version of the logo for this business.
- Create a simple website to showcase your materials to your client (the business owner).
I would suggest wix.com or weebly.com. I can show you how to set this up. - This should be completed by mid-March.
In addition to this, you are responsible for the following…
- Each week, you are "feeding the TV" in the main entrance at SDSS. You will post upcoming events/activities and include interesting videos of your own creation or ones that you've found that would be entertaining (but appropriate!).
- There are SO many variations on this, it's not even funny.
